You Cruise, You Lose
Went on a cruise. No, not TOM Cruise. A real, live love boat kind of cruise. It was fun. I recommend it. But what I don't recommend is bringing a fiancee along who, two days before the cruise ends, tells you that her love has. Oh well.....this is a report, not a pity pitch. Just an update. Okay, okay! I'M CRUSHED!!!! All things happen for their own reason known only to them and not for us to know but that's the reason and all things happen for that. See? But I digress. Where was I? Oh yeah. The cruise. Set some dough aside and hop on a reallllly big boat and experience the very reason Osama Bin Laden hates us so much. Yes, I did truly and actually feel guilty blowing a chunk of cash on myself. But ya know what? I got dumped. So now I feel better. Real better. Now all I need to do is go and buy that puppy. The advantage of posting prior to the acquisition of the canine unit, is that you can put in your order and, if you are chosen, I will get the puppy that YOU want. Have at 'er.....

I always tell people that I can't have any fun because then bad things will happen to me. Can I use your story to illustrate my point?
Border Collies are good.
lol.. I want my next dog to be big.. like German Shepherd or Malamute big. Or a cross of the two...The biggest pound puppy...and a female. That'd be good. Yep, that's my final answer.
Now..on the personal level: be good to yourself. Where she is - is a reflection of her and not you. Someday, you'll be thankful. I know I was.

Goldennib...I think it's a perfectly good story. Actually, you're really going to want to use the story when I tell you yet another detail: On the cruise ship she only told me the part about not wanting to be engaged. Said she wanted some nights alone to figure things out. It wasn't until Thursday---that's right---"Thanks"giving Day, that she told me that the boyfriend/girlfriend thing wasn't going to work for her either. Broke it off then. Use it. It's more than a story, Golden; it's a tool.

The answer is simply to examen, think about the facets, feel and let go. AND of course adopt the biggest pound puppy. Ugly is a bonus. ;) The scruffiest. That way you will always feel good about the choice you made. The puppy of course, will not know any of this because she will know inside she is the best thing that ever bounced into your life.She will love and be loved.Dogs keep it simple. She will love to go fishing...maybe not flying though...lol..
