"Repetition creates presence."

Okay, these are just some pictures taken with a camera. It was daylight at the time each was taken. The pictures are of images, but I am not going to tell you what they are of. Or of what they are, either. You will have to guess. Good luck. The winner gets to play one of Cindra's word games. Good luck again. You will need it.

The plane is a 1962 Cessna 182E. Engine is a stock Continental O-470-R. Just in case you were wondering.

Cheen-Druh, thank you. I like it too. It flies in the air and goes way high. When I get somewhere in it, I say, "Hey look---I flew here."

Just reading threw your blog. OMG you fly a small plane, and I break out in hives at even the thought of going near an airport!

The first picture is a crop circle made by aliens.

The second picture is of a man with crabs.

You have a lovely fly-ee thingy.

And you better get some Pez. Mr.Fab is unstable without his pills.

I'll give it a shot. These are puns, or plays on words?

Hm. For the Mona Lisa: The Field of Fine Art

For the crab: Catching a Crab. (a rowing pun?) Though it's clearly being measured, or also felt. Feeling Crabby?

The Cessna: Hmmm. Just Plane Fun?

There has to be something in the repetition thing though, doesn't there?

Well, she is quite a presence in the field of fine art.

Dr. Schmeckle here,

Zee images you have chosen zpeak of your inner most thoughts und feelings. Zee Mona Lisa is vun uff de most enigmatic of art pieces. Vee cannot tell what she is thinking und feeling und in dis picture she is far away und difficult to make out, making her even more elusive.

Naturally, zis Mona Lisa is metaphoric for zee woman recently in your life und dis woman represents zee "measure of your crabbiness." Zee loss of zis woman has not only left you very crabby but also left you "grounded." She has clipped your wings.

Und yet, ven you examine her again, vith new eyes, you are also "looking under zee hood of your own exterior" to see vut it is that will make you fly again.

Good luck und many happy future flights.

Dr. Schmeckle

Dang. I responded to everyone and then I guess I did something wrong and my reply didn't post. I will try it again. Here goes.........

Well, as Goldmember would say, "Datsch veerd. Vahrry veerd." I wonder where that last reply went....

CHEENDRUH: I like that you love my plane. But do you know that I love your brain? There is a very good reason you haven't flown with me yet. But I took the piece of paper with the reason written on it and taped it to a fencepost at an airport. How can I fly you to read the reason when the reason is a good one not to fly?

JAN: Speaking of hives, as I was headed in for work yesterday, I noticed that my beehive had blown over in the last big whindstorm we had. That's never happened before. They should add that to the Beaufort Scale: "60+ mph: Beehives tip over." It's not in there. I looked. Anyway, even though the bees lived nowhere near an airport, the broke out in their own hive. Yeah. Crazy, isn't it?

MR. FABULOSO: There will be Pez. Oh, yes...there WILL be Pez. I meant to have some here by the next posting, but they were backordered (what did you expect? we're talkin' PEZ here for crimean penninsula out loud). After all, Fab, you and I both know---it's all about the Pez.

CHEENDRUH: About that Barberella Pez dispenser..uh...well....uh...it's like this. Let's just say I had a sort of a sexual "accident" with her, okay? She's Barba-frikken-RELLA!!!! And I'm single again. And I'm just a man. A man thus far without a puppy (you don't have to worry about the puppy, so just stop that right now, missy!)

Gotta run right this instant. More to come for Golden, Candace and Tom. BFN

Nibbicus Goldeniensicus: Your interpretations are frighteningly accurate. That's incredible. How did you do that! Are you watching me type right now? OMG!!! There you ARE. I see you!!!! Do you see me waving back, Goldie???

CANDACE: I love your scarf.

CANDACE: That "repetition creats presense" thing is a quote from a former fellow monk. As I recall, we were talking about friendship as it is put forth in THE LITTLE PRINCE. You gave me a great idea, though. Maybe I will use pix as narrative some time. Field of fine art. Very funny. I love that. Oh, by the way. I love your scarf.

TOM: You're right.

CANDACE: I love your scarf.

I love my scarf, too! ^_^ I have the ultra-lovely Cindra to thank for it. She sure knows how to wield those sticks.

Having just recently read (and highly enjoyed) The Mermaid Chair, I kind of did a double take when I read that you had been a Benedictine Monk. Great book, and not just chick lit. Well, actually, being a chick, I don't really know whether it would appeal to men or not. Life has been very Dirk Gently for me lately (all about the Interconnectedness of All Things); a giant episode of Seinfeld, if you will, or a P.G. Wodehouse novel.

I was once a member of the Civil Air Patrol and have flown in Cessnas, but for me, the larger the plane, the more comfortable I am. (more crunch zone?)

I love Dirk Gently. I can relate.

Gawpo, I try to read more quietly next time.
