Hi, it's chikken...formerly known as Cindra...and still often referred to as Cheendruh...

I have jacked Gawpo's blog to bring it to your attention that this is the day we celebrate the birth of Gawpo! Could you imagine the world without a Gawpo to grace us with such wit and wonder? I couldn't. So, here's to the world being a "much more funner" place with Gawpo in it.

I love you, bro. Happy Birthday

(with apologies to Noel Coward)

Here's to Po, we wish you lovely weather
On wings of grace may your ventures ever glide
May your touch on life be lighter than a skylark's feather
May all sorrows, as you go, politely step aside.

ARM: Y muchas, muchas gracias a ti, mi amiga mas buena!

SHEILA: Awww. Thank you Ms. MOB. Your saying so is special to me, you know. The day has been filled with love. Hugs reciprocated!

SOMEWHERE JOE: I am certain that Mr. Coward is honored by the rearranging of the furniture on that one. My first plane was a Cessna Skylark. How did you know that? The last line is what a lover of all things literary might want to refer to as a "closer." Yer makin' me well up, Joe. Thank you so much.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR GAWPO
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Well my oh my, who'd have thunk it, no warning...no preamble....no readying gifts and celebration??? OK so here's a party hat - it has a propeller on top of it. And I made you an airplane shaped cake with little guitars that hold the candles. And of course some beer for you - what's a party without party tricks! Oh and I thought we'd play a game - ah come on - each person gets the name of some famous person known in the 50's (TV, movies, politicians etc). You can't look at it - you lick the paper and stick it to your forehead. Then you ask questions to see if you can guess who it is. Ok so it sounds stupid but maybe after those beers and some wine for others...could be fun.
Anyway, Cheers dear Gawpo - here's to MANY more!!
XOXO

Gawpo, it is tradition in our family that somebody call you and sing you a horrible, off-tune rendition of Happy Birthday. As the best-friend of my adorable niece, I think that makes you pretty dang close to family, so I am calling Jackie with your phone number. I'd call you and sing to you myself, but unfortunately, unlike my siblings, I am afraid I can carry a tune.

Happy Birthday, fly boy! And many more!

SNAVY: I loved the pics of the twins on their birthday. SO CUTE! Thank you, Snavs. Kissy-Kiss!

BLUE TSG: Cheen-druh! is moving. They are in, as she puts it, H. E. Double Hockey Sticks. My gift is that I can make you laugh and cough up little things that sprout legs and scurry away. My gift are the pictures of the girls at the wedding! My gift are cherry blossoms and the very word, "Zen." I do love you, you know. Thank you soooo much for the warm words and thoughts.

QUILLY: Well, that would be WONDERFUL! Cheen-Druh! left me a voice mail with a very sexy Marilyn Monroe "Happy Birthday Mr. Gawpo." She has your pitch, so that doesn't count. I ain't goin' ta bed till I get me some good offkey! lol Thank you dear family member of mine.

BROOKIE: Boy, I sure do suck as a friend. I have not had much of a chat window at night. I have to study now. Thank you for the well wishes.

Happy Birthday to you,
happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday, dear Gawpo,
happy birthday to you.

You have been officially sung to in an off-key voice! (Quilly tried to call yesterday, but we were out of cell range, or you'd have heard this in person. I can't even be offended by what Quilly-Sister says about my voice - I really can NOT carry a tune. But, oh Lord, how I love to sing! And they all get to hear me at least once a year - on their birthdays!

Hope yours was everything you wanted it to be - and that this year is one of your best yet!

OK, so I'm a couple of days late and a few dollars short, but Mr. G: I hope you had a great day. And I trust that celebrated your birthday, if that's what you wanted to do!

I'd just assume that birthdays stop any year now. After all, I'm 38 already.

CHALL TICK: Winnie the Pooh doesn't know what to do. Got a honey jar stuck on his head. And Owl says it best. Thank you, Candace!!!! Kiss!

CAMERON: Yeah, that is amazing. I liken it to the needle on the 33 1/3 getting closer to the end of the side: the revolution is a much shorter trip. Thank you, Cameron!!!
