Sandy Beach

I am currently in a house where there is good internet. In my own house, not so much. Coming to visit Nelson and Marti means it just so happens I also go to Hawaii; they live in Honolulu, a bit south of town, and only 6 minutes away from Sandy Beach.

After I started getting some interesting captures of boards and bellies in the surf, one of the guys who'd just surfed up to where I was standing pointed out to the closest surf break and said, "Did you see the turtles?" After that, I did...

We saw this guy arrive at about the time a white limo drove into the parking lot. We just figured there'd be a wedding party. Or not. Everybody wants to get into the act...

They say that if you are a photographer and you take a picture of a photographer taking pictures of something else, then you win.

I win.

Here they are. Marti and Nelson. Marti is my friend, Jeremy's sister. Jeremy checked in via Skype this morning from his room at Sant'Anselmo in Rome. Nelson is wearing one of Cindra's husband's creations, a "Critter Tee."

Happy Anniversary of Mount Saint Helens eruption day.

"Sandy Beach". I love that. Not that there's any other kind, but the candor is endearing. What kind of turtles were they? "Sea turtles," no doubt ,-)

I like the shot of the dude with the really big flipper. And the rainbow. It's made of skittles, you know. Looks like the surfers in the shot spotted them.

Hey Peaux, are you back? You have friends in Hawaii. You win.

LIMERS: At least. At LEAST!

JEAUX: Locally, they call it simply, "Sandies," or "Sandy's." Not sure which. I try to listen for apostrophes. Nelson tells me they were Hawaiian Green Turtles. Location, color and model are a match. I'm believing him.

Friends in Hawaii AND a friend in Florida----now, that's a win.

I heauxp I'm back.

Jeaux, you and I should meet Gawpeaux in Hawaii.
For burgers in cokes.
We would all win.

G, so glad you are back! And reporting LIVE! from Hawaii! too.
Sigh, you had me at hello all those years ago.

Now you have me at Aloha.
xoxo

Is it Mount Saint Helens eruption day already? I need to go somewhere where apostrophe listening takes place.

He had me at helleaux too, Gill. Are you going to New York? I may go for the 4th of July. But I still want to do our trifecta here in margaritaville. I feel it.

Bleu TSG: It's far to here. But the thought persists---boiguhs 'n Cokes at Sandy Beach with toitles in the soif....yum.

JEAUX: Yes, come and gone. I heard n'ere e'en a word about it in any medium.

The trifecta must occur. Thoughts become things. Let us listen for an apostrophe spacing us nicely before each other. Somewhere. But hopefully there in the 'ville. Oh, I SO feel it.

Oh how wonderful to see a post from you AND to know you are in beautiful Hawaii, somewhere I have never been. The very idea of just sitting upon the sand watching all around me thrills me to the core. The sound of ocean waves are my perfect relaxant, I swear I can smell the sea now.
Shall we order something decadent, perhaps with all sorts of fruit adornments and an umbrella? :)
Oh and I was in Oregon when Mount Saint Helens erupted...we drove home later to California in our blue VW bug still covered in ash.

I think of you often, I hope all in your life is Gawpolicious!!
XOXOXOXO
Lisa

When you come back, you come back strong...and yes, you win. You always win, Chico! :)

The pictures of the surf and turtles are fantastic. If only I could see a rainbow on this cloudy S. Florida day.

Enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. Missed you, my friend.

LEESUH OCEANDREEMUH!: Well, of course you would be drawn to a post about the ocean. Gee. Wonder why. Heh-heh. You paint the picture in which I currently find myself. Home tomorrow after a week of bliss with my friends and these warm-as-their-hearts waters.

I was a monk of Mt. Angel when the mountain blew. Didn't even hear it. I tending the kiln in our art studio which had a very noisy heater. The overcast was such that we didn't even see the plume. Sigh. The second eruption is what brought the ash south; we didn't get any ash at all from the May 18th bang.

xoxoXO!

SCARLETA!: Horale. I will keep your missing in mind. Hay mas que viene aqui.

ANNIE DARLIN'!: I have been up to the moon and back. Career shift. Seeing friends. Crap, lookie here----I'm even blogging!!!! Glad you dropped in. Lovin' seeing you again. hugs 'n kisses, G
